In 2013 Leo arrived in Ireland with no network, no plan B and no excuses. He worked in restaurants and bars while he built a new life, brick by brick.
Leonardo Lemos is Brazilian and lives in Cork. He will tell you he is not a professional athlete; he is an amateur. Even so, he was the first Brazilian selected to race for Ireland at a World Triathlon Championships event, in Australia.
What he has is a method for closing the gap between fear and action, and he tested it on himself before he brought it to anyone else: in the Irish sea, at the Hardman, and in a plane, when he decided he would open his own parachute on his very first jump.
In 2023 he stood on a triathlon podium in Ireland, among the ten best athletes of the year. Today he is Honorary Consul of Brazil in Cork, a skydiver and a mentor. What he teaches does not come from theory: it comes from having paid the price.
We do not master the world. We master our own instincts, and that is what separates the people who only think from the people who act.
